Bee – seen as a bridge between the upper and lower worlds. Loves all things beautiful, steady companion, prolific. Bees live all over the world and are represented in many spiritual traditions. These insects provide a very important service to the flora of Mother Earth, namely pollination. Humans, on the other hand, enjoy an abundance of fruit thanks to it. Honeybees are known for their ability to live and work communally. They are loyal to each other and always work towards a common goal. Just look at their geometrically perfect beehives! The fruit of their labour is the fragrant beeswax that has been used for centuries to make magical candles and, of course, the delicious honey they make from the flower nectar. Bees are a reminder that life is beautiful and wonderful, and that selflessness is rewarded with the sweetest of gifts. Bees symbolise fertility and the continuity of life, as well as the spread of new ideas and inventions and inspiration. Air is an element of vision, communication and clarity. As a flying creature, the bee represents this element. Bees have 5 eyes, 2 of which are intricate, with many lenses. They can process visual information 15 times faster than humans. The 3 eyes on the forehead help them to navigate by tracking the movement of the sun. They are also able to communicate with each other. When they find abundant nectar, they announce it to other hive dwellers with a special dance. The magic of bees reminds us that we humans can also use our bodies to communicate non-verbally through movement, dance, gestures and postures.
